For my final project at my university, I wanted to use a theme that would be the most inspiring and would have emotional value to me. During this conceptual period I had an important conversation with my mom, and then the answer to my question seemed so clear. Nothing would me more inspiring for me than my own mother's life story. The name Marciana is an analogy for her name, Marcia, and it means alien in Portuguese. And, well, her story is worth a book. So, I decided to create her own comic.
Inspired by the old idea of futurism and some pictures from my mother's past, I gathered some amazing images to use as the base for the clothing. The bold colors from the ET comic's world mixed with the emblematic tailored shoulders from the 70's led me to create this collection with 25 fun but weird outfits. Here are 3 of my favorites:
